Start with a short test.
Set up your studio before the event. Test audio, captions and playback on a listener's device.
1. Account and channel
Create an account and verify your email address using the message you receive. In Channels, enter a name for your new studio. The channel URL is generated from its name, or you can enter your own. The panel shows only your channels.
2. Microphone and captions
Open the studio, then the microphone page. Allow microphone access in your browser and start broadcasting. Use HTTPS or a local localhost address. First, say a few test sentences. Speech recognition requires a running, configured audio processing service.
Add proper names to the ASR dictionary. Use Presenter materials to prepare context for the talk. Automatic results need review, especially for specialist terminology.
3. Translation and listening
In channel settings, enable translation and choose PL → EN, EN → PL or automatic direction. To share translation audio, also enable read-aloud. This requires voice models to be configured on the server.
Share the listening link or QR code from the studio. Listeners open the page on their phones, choose a language and press the button to start listening. No listener account is required. Headphones are recommended to avoid feedback.
4. OBS overlay
Copy the overlay URL from the studio and add it in OBS as a browser source. Adjust the font, position and background in appearance settings. Test it at your intended broadcast resolution.
How can I share links safely?
The listening link is public to anyone who knows its URL. The microphone link with a token allows audio broadcasting, while the overlay link allows captions to be displayed. Share them according to their purpose. Do not publish the microphone link or your login details.
No audio or captions
- Check microphone permissions, the selected device and your internet connection.
- Make sure the microphone is not already active in another tab or on another device.
- In the studio, check the recognition service status and diagnostics page.
- If no audio is playing, check that translation and read-aloud are enabled and the listener has started playback.
- If the problem persists, send the operator the time of the incident, channel name, browser and message text. Do not send your password or tokens.
Account and password
Verification and password reset links are valid for one hour. You can request a new link. You can change your password and name in “My account”. If you have forgotten your password, use account recovery.
